Are you a self-motivated, passionate, results-driven copywriter? Do you have a talent for writing powerful, humorous, thought-provoking, deeply heartfelt, or persuasive pieces that can hook a reader and hold their interest from the very first sentence? Do you specialize in creating high-converting ad copy that inspires a potential buyer to actually take action and buy? We are looking for professional and experienced freelance copywriters who want to keep their schedule full of exciting copywriting projects so that they can write in the peace, safety, and comfort of their own home. Book description copywriters with paid experience are strongly preferred. 

You must be knowledgeable about writing powerful ad copy for books and be able to write to the preferences of any given niche. This means you have a solid understanding of the audience and how to appeal to them as readers. We expect you to be able to write professionally and self-edit your work. 

As this is a ghostwriting job, you must be comfortable writing on behalf of a client, and you will release all rights of the finished work to the client. You will not receive direct credit for your written work.

Requirements: 

  • You must be a native English writer and speaker currently residing in Canada, The United States, Australia, The United Kingdom, or South Africa. If you are a native English speaker living abroad, feel free to apply. We expect all work submitted to be in Standard US English.
  • You must be a deadline-oriented freelancer, our clients have time-sensitive projects, and as such, you must be able to meet their strict deadlines. 
  • You must have a great understanding of writing high-converting copy and how to write with the market and target audience in mind. 
  • You must only apply if you have long-term availability.
  • You must be available throughout the day to be able to respond to the project manager and any messages from the client.
  • You must be responsible, reliable, with open and honest communication, and willing to build strong relationships with our clients.

Please send us three examples of book descriptions you have written for three different categories. They must all be approximately 200 - 250 words. Your submissions must be in doc, docx, or pdf format. Please be sure to double-check your submission and application for grammar, spelling errors, flow, etc. The sample must be your own original work, and you must still own the copyright to these works. (This means you cannot submit something ghostwritten for a client for this application).

We may request a photo ID and your resume for verification purposes. Due to the number of applications we receive daily, please allow us a least two weeks to get back to you.
